The 2026 MLB season is barely a few weeks old, but it’s already delivering a familiar mix of dominance, volatility, and early overreactions. With Opening Day on March 25 and a full 162-game grind ahead, we’re still in small-sample territory—but not without meaningful signals.

At the top, the usual heavyweights are asserting themselves. The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees both look like elite contenders again, ranking among the best teams early in power rankings and results.
